 University Relations  Education

DEDICATED TO EDUCATION

From its earliest days, IACC has always emphasized education at all levels—for members and their employees, for clients and potential customers, for the general public, and for persons interested in career opportunities within the conference center industry. IACC's University Relations Initiatives encompass several programs that seek to further our outreach to that last group—hospitality students and prospective industry employees.

Three major programs assist students (and their teachers) to broaden their education and learn more about conference centers:

1. SCHOLARSHIPS

    The Conference Center Industry Award
    Annual Conference Scholarships
    The Doris Sklar Award
(Only for students at New York University's School of Hospitality.)

2. INTERNSHIPS

3. STUDENT OR FACULTY MEMBERSHIP

In 2002, IACC created new categories of membership to embrace students and faculty at Schools of Hospitality. Offered at the vastly reduced Annual Dues rate of $25.00, either of these membership types provide nearly all the same advantages as Individual Associate Membership, including member discounts for attendance at any IACC educational program.

To complete an application for student or faculty membership, please contact us for the PDF. (The attached file is an Acrobat PDF form. Please save it to your computer by clicking the "diskette" icon or by printing it to a file. Then, you can fill out the form on screen by using the TAB key, or you can print the form directly to paper. Ultimately, you will need to sign and return a printed version of the form to IACC.)
