DALLAS - Aug. 19, 2003 - Gaylord Hotels has chosen UniFocus' MEETINGScope(tm) - a system that provides performance measures on the most critical aspects of event planning - for use at its world-class meeting-destination properties. Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, which has 600,000 square feet in meeting and exhibition space, is the first Gaylord Hotel to have gone online with the system. Gaylord Palms in Kissimmee, Fla., and Gaylord Opryland Texas - Gaylord Hotels' third resort and convention center in Grapevine, Texas, that will open in April 2004 - will also use MEETINGScope. A Web-based meeting planner relationship management application offered in the ASP model, MEETINGScope was designed by meeting planners that understand the necessary features that drive successful meeting outcomes.

Commenting on the decision to select UniFocus, Gaylord Hotels' Carol Winn, corporate director of research and market planning, remarked, "Gaylord Hotels is committed to delivering flawless service to meeting planners and our convention guests, and UniFocus' MEETINGScope system is an important part of the process that enables us to follow through on our promise. The MEETINGScope application collects the planners' evaluation of service and performance experienced beginning at the contract execution and through the planning phase. As opposed to the traditional post-event feedback only model, MEETINGScope uniquely identifies areas of concern so they can be addressed prior to the execution phase, ensuring successful meeting outcomes.

The most innovative feature of MEETINGScope is its ever expanding database and the ability to provide industry benchmarks in a blind aggregation along with detailed preferences of individual meeting planners. Benchmark categories include:

* Price segment
* Brand
* Geography
